The ending of the novel was a little disappointing for me, although I can’t tell you why without spoilers. All of these things can turn the events on a relationship you thought was strong and stable. A malicious comment, a piece of information, a shared moment you weren’t supposed to see. One wants to kill her husband, another wants her husband to put his dirty underwear in the laundry basket, and another insists she is perfectly happy and fulfilled within her marriage. And so when I stumbled upon the book at the latest Lifeline Book Fair (a true wonderland for the literary enthusiast) I grinned like a Cheshire cat. I have wanted to read this book for a while but the very title struck fear into the mind of the man I lived with, and so I never read the book. Although I must warn you, that if you choose to read this book in public, it will make men uncomfortable.
